UPDATE: The goals were easy to set up, and are decent quality. Definitely peg them into the ground, as strong winds will blow them away. We are happy with them, despite the ball and pump issue.ORIGINAL: I haven’t set up the goals yet, but wanted to say that the soccer ball that comes with it is punctured, and one of the pump adapters snapped. So this rating is for the ball and pump only. When I set up the goals I’ll update my review. If they are as bad as the ball and pump I’m sure it’ll be a swift return, to the disappointment of my kids.

Complete starter soccer set
Wow, a complete beginner soccer set!My girls are getting into soccer and this is the perfect soccer set for home practice. The set includes two goals, ten cones, a size 3 soccer ball, a handheld ball pump, and some stakes to hold the nets in place. Everything you need for backyard drills and even a pickup game with the neighbors.The nets are pretty straightforward to put together. You do have to feed the poles through the nets, which is a little cumbersome. They goals do hold up to beginner shooting, but wouldn’t hold up if you try to lean or hang on them. The ball is a good starter ball and the cones are exactly like all the other short cones out there.The nets fold/twist down for transport and storage, but you do have to fully disassemble the goals to fit them into the carry pouch.I have no complaints, and frankly am a bit blown away by what you get for the price.

This soccer net is working out great for us! My son is always asking us to play soccer with him in our yard but it’s hard to play when the ball is always going into the neighbors yard or down the street if we tried to kick a goal. These have been perfect for us! I love that it came with stakes for each net so the wind doesn’t blow them around. They are light weight enough that it’s not hard to move them out of the way when we’re done playing soccer. The value for the money is great! My kids are ages 5-11 and they all love playing soccer with these nets!

The quality of the product is 5 stars but due its price of $86- which is a bit high- I can give it only 4 stars. Prices on this type of soccer net fluctuate wildly this time of year so by the time you read this review the price on this item could be lower. As I write this, there is similar set of soccer goals with cones, a ball and a pump for $87, but the $87 set is 6’ x 4’ instead of 4’ x 3’. The $87 set includes a removable cover for one of the goals so that 5 targets are created. This allows a person to refine their skills controlling the ball or they can use the targets to make up a game with their own rules By the time you read this, by the way, that same set might go up to $100, so who knows? Vavosport also offers a bundle which has two goals, agility cones, a ball, a pump, a carrying bag, and the same type of target. Alternatively, Vavosport and others offer a similar package with two goals, agility cones, a ball, a pump, a carrying bag, and an agility ladder which works as well for kids as it does for adults. Vavosport and other companies also sell soccer goals of other sizes as well.Anyway, these goals are well-made and well-designed. The frame reminds me of the supports for a pop-up tent because the poles for these goals are also hollow fibreglass with an elastic that goes through them to connect them. The result is a strong, lightweight, and easy-to-assemble frame. The coloured portions of the frame are made of heavy-duty nylon. They are made like sleeves to slide over the frame. Those portions of the net are highly durable and will last forever. The mesh on the net is the Achilles’ heel of this goal, though. It is made of a synthetic fibre that can get snagged/abraded on almost anything. Velcro and burrs are especially troublesome. Replacement nets should be offered for sale separately.Once assembled for the first time, each goal packs down into its custom triangular bag with just a twist. To set it up subsequent times, just remove a goal from the bag, give it a twist, and stake it down with the included pins. By the way, if your soil is too sandy for the pins provided, either use stakes from your tent or get some ‘landscape staples’, which is what these stakes are anyway. Landscape staples come in 4”, 6” and 8” lengths. Don’t get the 4” ones.Just like anything else you buy with poor assembly instructions, find a video of someone setting twisting the goal into a 2 dimensional shape. If you don’t use the net often, mark the corners that get twisted so you won’t have to figure it out again.These goals are easy to store and to transport because they are so light and compact. They can shrink down a soccer field to backyard size but they are also excellent for playing soccer indoors in a gym, in a park, at a school yard, or on the beach.There are also a set of agility cones, a size 3 soccer ball and a pump so that you can start having fun right away.These goals are designed for soccer but why not let younger kids make up their own games and ways to use this? For example, divide up any number of kids or toddlers into two teams, put all the kids between the goals with a lot of balls of any kind, and tell the kids to get the balls into the nets with their teams.Or take an old bedsheet or two, throw them over the goal frames and make it into a shady place to play outside. Have a water fight and let each team have a goal with a sheet draped over it for cover. Build a fort. You will have lots of fun with these!
