Great inexpensive and practical thermometers
Very accurate readings for room and Fridge, Freezer. Clear view of the numbers and good directions for starting up.

Ideal design and function
Battery lasted over 2.5 years, easy to replace when dying. Accuracy was great. Magnet and hook options were ideal given modern fridge design. Highly recommend to track fridge and freezer temps. Easy to read, even if it gets slightly fogged due to temperature differences when the door is open. I like the high/low display in the event of power outage. I’d buy again.

Good, functional thermometers. Very easy to set up, good readability.
I really like how easy these were to set up. You simply press the power button, then press another button to toggle Celsius or Fahrenheit. There’s a hook to hang it from something and a magnet on the back to attach to metal surfaces. Also comes with a mini screwdriver to remove the hook if needed.Seems fairly accurate within a few degrees. The screen is a good size and easily legible. Also really love how it shows the recorded high and low temperature, very handy for monitoring something like a fridge. Only issue is that both screens had some vertical scratches that aren’t really visible unless held at an angle under bright light.

Very good, works as advertised. Great to have if you lose power.
I bought these because the fridge in my semi truck isn’t consistent. Truck driving isn’t a healthy profession to begin with, don’t want to worry about my food temperature driving down the road. It saves the high and low temperatures and is fairly accurate. There is a hook that you can flip out from the back if you want to hang it. There is also a built in magnet on the back so you can stick it to the wall of your fridge. It’s all plastic so I wouldn’t put it somewhere that it’s going to get damaged. I’ve had these for over a year and haven’t had to replace the batteries yet. Pretty easy to use, has a reset button to clear your high/low. I just wish it had a delay when you reset. When you are going to put it in the freezer or fridge, put it in and let it cool off, then reset it.I also use these for my home fridge. We occasionally lose power, and it’s good to check to make sure the temp stayed in the safe range.

great to check refrigerator temp
Works great. seems accurate, helped me alotwow, my refrigerator temp is so variable. Important for monitoring drugs that shouldn’t get hot or freeze – also helped me solve my milk going bad problem, learned the colder zones in my fridge.

Perfect for the freezer and refrigerator.
My refrigerator was not chilling as it should, so, I purchased these. They can either hang on a wire shelf or set on a shelf. Sure enough, my refrigerator was not working properly. Several, things were spoiling. I bought a new refrigerator. Now I use these in the refrigerator that we have in the garage. They are great.

Very affordable option
I’ve had these for like 2 years and they both work great. Have used them in multiple fridges and freezers. I haven’t even needed to replace the batteries either so that’s nice.I think it’s accurate as I have another one that’s more expensive and they read exactly the same.

These thermometers will not work in the freezer!
This isn’t a defect with my particular units or a problem with my fridge. The official design parameters for these will not let them work in a freezer.Let me explain:According to the instruction manual, these thermometers have a tolerance of +/- 1 degree C, which means a reading of, say, 25°C could be anywhere between 24 and 26°C.The thermometer has a minimum operating temperature of -20°C. This was apparently important enough that it got put on the front of the display.A freezer should generally stay at at least -18°C.Add this all together, and your thermometer must always read EXACTLY -19°C. That’s impossible, as the freezer will warm when opened and cool more when left unattended, especially in dial-based cooling systems that these thermometers are (theoretically) designed for. In order to keep the “min” reading of my thermometer at an acceptable level, the max read something like -12°C.Long story short, you need to find a more robust thermometer for your freezer or just go the traditional “alcohol in a tube” route. Now, if you’re still okay with a fridge-only thermometer, these are decent quality. I recommend you get this style, so let me explain how I’ve set mine up, and what I’ve noticed.1: These are… tolerably accurate. They are good for +/-1°C, and mine are nearly 2 degrees different from each other, but they are pretty good in relation to my trusty analog tube stick. A fridge should be between 1 and 4°C, so just get your “min” temperature as close to 1°C as possible without going below that. These things are versatile! While the LCD has limited viewing angles, it’s really not a problem since the kickstand can be adjusted to meet your needs. You also get a hook, which is nice for my fridge, and a magnet, which if you feel your thermometers have become inaccurate, you can take them out and stick them outside to the fridge’s door to see room temperature. I have one of mine hanging from the top rack, and another on the kickstand on the bottom shelf. The buttons are on the back of the device, so you’ll have to memorize what they are unless you want to take them out of the fridge and mess up your max temp record. I have had these for just two weeks and I know the order by heart. To my knowledge, the min/max temperature is only measured when the unit is powered on. This leads me to the third part of my review: recommendations for best usage:step 1: Turn on both units and put them side by side. If there is more than 2 degrees difference in celcius between them, your units are defective and you shouldn’t use them.step 2: Turn OFF the units and put them in your fridge (NOT THE FREEZER!). I’ve got one in the bottom-left-front and the other near the top-right-back. They don’t need to be next to each other. Close your fridge and forget about them.step 3: The next day, turn both units on (middle button) and reset the min/max temps. (top button). Don’t worry about what they say yet, since you want to see the temperature fluctuations in your fridge. Close the fridge door and wait 24 hours.step 4: The day after you turned your thermometers back on, look at their min/max temperatures. They should each have a min of at least 1°C and a max near 4°C. This can be done at a glance, without touching either thermometer, which is nice. If one of your thermometers is outside this range, turn it OFF and leave the other one on, then adjust your fridge to be SLIGHTLY warmer or colder.Note: you turned OFF the thermometer when you saw it was outside the acceptable temperature range as a reminder to reset the min-max values when you turn it back on. This doesn’t have anything to do with the thermometers being accurate/inaccurate.Now repeat steps 3 and 4 as necessary, remembering to wait a 24 hour period after turning off a thermometer, and another 24 hour period after turning it back on.All in all, this could have been a 4 star review, since these thermometers work well for the fridge. However, as the text across the bottom of each unit proudly proclaims, these are meant as FREEZER thermometers, but they are not rated to withstand a freezer’s normal operating temperature.
