This is a great prenatal!
I’ve done quite a bit of research on prenatals and this is a great one! It could definitely have more choline but I purchased a separate supplement and that’s fine. I love that they use methylcobalamin for the B12, huge plus! That’s the form of vitamin B12 that you want.We have no idea if vitamin companies are giving us what they say they are, however I feel that this is a reputable company and top notch vitamin and I am happy to have found it. My belly tolerates it well and I don’t mind the large size pills. It’s worth it.

It makes you gag but..
I had been taking another brand of prenatal vitamin that I really liked, but I hated taking multiple pills a day and it lacked choline. This vitamin has choline and a really good mix of other vitamins and minerals. It also recommends just one pill a day, which is great BUT the pill is huge, dry, and chalky. It always triggers my gag reflex no matter how much water I drink before or after. I’ve tried taking it with food, but it tastes so awful I can’t swallow it. SO the answer to this problem is to break it into 2-3 pieces, hold your nose and chuck it back with lots of water and ideally your favorite gummy candy right afterward to kill the vitamin taste. Don’t get me wrong, I eat unusual foods, I love green juices, I eschew added sugars. But this is a tough taste to get out of your mouth.

Finally a non fishy pill!
I’m so thankful to have come across this brand and the fact that they have a higher DHA mg to them vs others for more than double the price. That was the selling point for me because this is my first baby and I want to make sure I’m doing what I can for baby’s developing body. It has more of a lemon taste to it than anything and when you open it, there’s no fishy smell like other DHA capsules I’ve had before this. They’re easy to swallow as they have a more wide oval shape to it and the taste helps. I feel like I’m getting the best value for my dollar with these and I am purchasing again. I will say that the one thing I wish was different is the quantity. It’s 2 capsules for a 30 day supply and of course that starts to add up over time vs other brands where you can have a 60 or even 90 day supply. Even though that’s just the one downside I still will be repurchasing!

Works but…
I was drying up and was having difficulty feeding my (then) 8 month old son, so I found this as a viable solution based on the reviews. The pills are big, but they’re capsules so they go down okay. I’m terrible at taking pills and I manage to swallow these. They do smell like maple syrup but no complaints about the smell as I find it strange in the first place to smell medicine; I try everything I can to avoid that. These pills worked and I have been taking them for month and a half. However, in that time my blood sugar crashes easily (I’m not a diabetic, but I had gestational diabetes so I still have my meter) and I gained about 13 lbs. I previously had a gastric sleeve so I eat very little, gained only 14 lbs during my pregnancy and lost 17 lbs after I had my son. For me, it wasn’t a change in diet, appetite or giving birth, these pills are the culprit and straight up made me gain weight. So yes, I lactated because of these pills, which to me was worth being able to breastfeed my son longer, but I stopped taking them today because the weight gain is now noticeable and I can’t risk becoming obese again.

Giant pills but great ingredients
I looked at a lot of prenatal vitamins before settling on this one, and I really like the formula. I do have to say, I have a hard time swallowing these, which I typically don’t have a problem swallowing pills. The after taste when I swallow them is not great and I do gag from time to time when I have to take them. I also take their DHA supplement with this vitamin.I definitely would say the pros outweigh the cons, but it is all personal preference. I am able to struggle through a little bit of gagging to make sure my baby is getting the nutrients they need.

Doubled my milk supply
I love this product! I’ve tried eating lactation cookies and drinking lactation teas but they require so much more than just taking 2 pills a day. Plus, it gets expensive trying to keep up with all of it. I tried this and after a week, I noticed my supply went up. I used to produce about 10 to 13 ounces, but now I produce about 18 to 25 ounces a day (not including what I breastfeed my baby). Be sure to also drink lots of water, eat quality food, and reduce stress because that also makes a big difference in supply.It makes you smell like syrup. My husband and I were a bit overwhelmed by the change in my body odor so I stopped taking it for a little while. I noticed my supply did go down after that.I don’t know how to describe the taste of the pills but it is strong. I found it a bit difficult to swallow these pills because it would get stuck in my throat, but I started drinking more water when taking them and it has helped.Overall, the product is great for the value and the results.

Made my little one gassier and I smell horrible!?
I needed this initially to increase my milk supply I took this a little over a week and right away I could smell myself, like my skin everywhere had a distinct odor that I even made my bf smell me. Mind you were practically married, he knows my body!! It had a distinct smell of spices like almost curry like lmao. I DO NOT sweat easily nor do I smell that rancid in a day of taking care of my newborn in my home. And my poor baby girl has reacted terribly from the gass worse thar before I started taking these. Mind you I cut out everything from my diet to lessen her colic issues. I stopped taking these, and it took a few days for the rancid smell to go away completely (thank God) lol in term of bf production, I think I wasn’t on it/willing to be on it long enough to see a change. I produce up to 4 ounces sometimes 5 combined already… but she eats up to 3 oz of pumped bm in a bottle.. so I wanted to try and up my production somehow. I’m sorry but I couldn’t deal anymore 😔
