Fun learning for kindergartner!
Having outgrown kiddie games like Candy Land, we needed a new learning game for my 5-year-old grandchild who’s just starting kindergarten and loves numbers. He adores this game and likes that it looks “grown up”. He quickly caught on to the rules. I like the quality of the wooden game set and the fact that we can have up to four players, so we can include his mom and dad. But when it’s just the two of us, my grandchild and I each take two sides of the board, making the game more challenging for him (and me!). Highly recommended for learning addition math facts to 12.

Smaller Size is Perfect for Camp Trips
We love playing games and go camping a lot – this smaller size is perfect for 2 – 4 players and is great for our camper. We have the larger board for home game nights. Highly recommend!

Compact 4 player version of shut the box
Nice game to get kids to practice basic math. Easy to learn, easy to use. I like that this one is small and accommodates more players than the two player version.

Fun!
This is a game of luck that also allows for some strategy and practice of basic addition facts. My kids and I found it easy to learn, but my husband thought it was a bit a boring. It is a good size — not too small, but easy to pack up. The colors are bold and bright.

Quality could be better
The concept of the game is great and it’s definitely fun for family time or travel. However, the materials feel a bit lightweight and the wooden pieces aren’t as solid as I hoped. The dice and tiles seem a little flimsy, so I’m not sure how well it will hold up after frequent use.

We Enjoyed this Game in a Variety of Ways!
Well built and designed. Fun to look at and play. It’s your standard “Shut the Box” game, so if you enjoy that games you’ll enjoy this. Very unique playing multi player. We came up with a bunch of variations for scoring and playing. Made it quite interactive by adding rules to re-open others numbers, design special roll rules, make up interesting scoring variations, and even made up a cooperative version of the game. Even used this game to establish “roll choices” for other games. That was a load of fun. If you have some imagination and enjoy dice games, this set gives you a lot to work with.Recommended for those who enjoy a simple dice game, and a great tool for those who are more “game enthusiasts”.
