Soft and Cozy – Gift to a Friend
This is the first gift box I have chosen in the last 2 years that I haven’t felt like most of the items were just filler or came from the everything is a $1 store. This basket is still the typical items but more connected and much better quality.The blanket is a nice chenille. The fringe is likely to tangle with time or if it is washed but with a beautiful color and softness.The candle is small but well done and smells wonderful.The coffee cup is in very good taste and something I would use if I liked small coffee cups. The gold spoon is a bit odd in my opinion, it is stamped flat and more like a Shilajit spoon but much larger. My friend high end taste said she liked the spoon ..so there is that.The journal is not genuine leather but is well made and then pen doesn’t feel high end but does look expensive.The socks say lamb but they don’t feel like wool. They are soft and a beautiful color.The tiny cactus is a pretty accessory for an accent with a book on a book shelf or in an office cubicle. My favorite part is the one thing that is not a lot of use to anyone – the crochet heart that says it is a pocket hug.The minuses …the colors are a bit disjointed. The pocket hug is more of a bright green. The ribbon is an amazing color of dark mossy green. And the tiny cactus is a mint green kind of color. The three look a bit odd together …I would likely suggest changing the color of the crochet hug to a color similar to the ribbon…leaving the cactus as it is likely the hardest thing to change.This box has no shred or anything trying to take up extra space. It also does not include a card but I consider that a good thing. Typically, this is a box sent to someone directly from Amazon instead of being sent to the sender then given. Shipping directly to a friend or family member in just a few days with Prime membership at the time of this review is $39. Shipping a modest sized box 3-4 day shipping to a family member of mine is approx $19. Putting this into the balance as an even better value in my opinion.

I think the standout piece here is the lovely blanket, which is soft and warm, and huge! I can’t tell you what the fabric content is, though, as it’s not specified on a tag (listed as polyester fleece in the product description). One good thing about a blanket is that it fits everyone, and there are no worries about sizing, as there might be if the seller included a robe instead. Good choice!The candle smells nice, the “diary/journal” is pretty, though the paper is pretty thin. The pen works right out of the box but has a very fine point. The reason I mention this is because sometimes fine point pens writing on thin paper tend to tear the paper. So….be careful with that.The candle smells good and I like the golden spoon. I’m all about gold, though I doubt this is anything more than a thin gold coating. The seller makes no assertions about the spoon other than it is “polished.” And it’s small, but nice for the small cup.Honestly if I were choosing items for this box, I’d leave out the knitted heart and the artificial succulent (everything else seems/feels genuine, so why these?) but I won’t take any stars off for that. I’d instead add a couple packets of luxury-style hot cocoa mix. But those are just my preferences.My only other suggestion would be: this is a nice kit, but if I wanted to send it to someone, I’d first have it delivered to me, and remove all the plastic wrappings. Perhaps re-wrap in kraft paper or nestle into some soft beige shreds, just to keep it from looking so “institutional.” And then I’d re-mail it or deliver in person, depending on which makes sense.But there’s really nothing about this set that I find objectionable. While the blanket is definitely lovely, the rest is not necessarily my favorite “cup of tea,” though I know many others will find it enchanting.This package is currently selling for $40, which is about right for this type of gift.

Beautiful gift box
This box is beautifully packaged and definitely suitable for gift-giving. It includes a nice sized blanket along with a mug, fuzzy socks, a scented candle, and a notebook/pen plus a couple of other items. I’ll give this to my mom for her birthday and I know she’ll love it. It would also be a nice item to give someone if you don’t know their interests very well, because there’s certainly something in this box that they could use.

A cute box of useless stuff (for the most part).
This is an interesting idea – a hug in a box. Very clever!What does it come with? A few knickknacks – that’s what it comes with.The spoon and the mug – the mug is tiny and would probably be big enough for an espresso. In addition, as some others pointed out there is no indication whether it’s microwave or dishwasher safe. Heck, it could be nice even food safe for all we know! The design of the mug is pretty cool, however – I like it. Which is why I suspect that this is only a decorative mug. Same goes for the spoon – I am not even sure what kind of metal was used for the production of it. All I know that it could release toxic chemicals when absorbed in hot liquids such as tea, coffee or espresso. I wouldn’t trust it. Again, decoration only!The fake plant most certainly has no use for it and so does a little crochet heart.The journal and a pen – well, how many of those do we have nowadays? A ton and readily available everywhere – and very cheap.The candle, socks and a blanket are the only three items that could be actually utilized on an every day basis without any health concerns.The socks don’t feel like made from lamb – they feel utterly synthetic.I’m conclusion, this is pretty and cute box of useless stuff (for the most part). I wouldn’t recommend it for $40 but if you want to make someone happy, I’d say it will do for a very short period of time.
