    Weather Stations Wireless
After installing the sensors in three distinct locations—one in my backyard, one in my garage, and one in my basement—I must say that it is quite useful to be able to monitor all three of these places from the central unit. I have not had any signal dropouts, even with the sensor that is located in the backyard, which is the farthest away from the house. The range of 500 feet has also held up well. This instills trust in me about the dependability of the product, particularly in environments with more severe weather conditions, when precision is of the utmost importance. An additional element that I found to be advantageous was the display’s backlight, which could be adjusted. Due to the fact that the brightness levels may be adjusted, I believe that the screen is simple to read both during the day and at night without any difficulty. When I need to check the weather in the middle of the night without straining my eyes, this is extremely beneficial since it allows me to do so without discomfort. I believe that the arrangement of the display is easy to understand, and I like how all of the essential information, including temperature, humidity, and sensor data, was displayed in a way that was easily accessible at a look. The ability to get a full perspective of the surroundings in my house was made extremely simple by this feature, as it eliminated the need to scroll or transition between several displays.

    Easy setup.
I’m able to keep track of temperature and humidity on all three levels of my house as well as the outside. This has been a great help in adjusting my heating and cooling temperatures as well as knowing what room vents to keep open and which ones to close.

    EASY SETUP AND INSTALLATION
Great range and fairly accurate (all within a single degree) to actual temperature. We own a whole-house generator with a remote battery box. (converted deck box by East Oak that was insulated & heated) One of the three, small temperature transmitter was placed within the box, another transmitter was placed in a root cellar and the other placed in a mechanical room. No issues with receiving a signal from each. You do have supply batteries for each transmitter and the receiver. I like the ability to either dim or brighten the receiver display.

    Fantastic Value, Excellent Performance
I insulated my detached garage and was going to build an Arduino-based temperature logging system to determine how much heat (BTUs) I’d eventually need to add to keep the temps stable in winter. As I was perusing Azon, however, I noticed that this OBET unit was on sale for less than the parts’ cost for my Arduino project, and that’s not even considering my design and construction time!I bought this unit straight away, and installed one sensor in the attic, one in the garage itself, and one outside. The inside unit is in my kitchen. I can now instantly see the aforementioned temps, and have noted that, with the ground heat coming through my garage floor slab and a tiny amount of electric heat (700-W space heater that outputs 2400 BTU/h), I can keep the interior garage temps at 40 or above (the goal) with temps down to 5 F. With an outdoor temp of -5 F, the garage is still 36 F.This temperature monitoring system has greatly exceeded my expectations. When placed side by side in the same environment, the three sensors report temps that vary by 0.1 or 0.2 degrees F, which I consider fantastic.By using this unit instead of the Arduino I miss out on data logging, but I have already gathered enough evidence to determine that adding a 10,000 to 15,000 BTU heat source (next year), all of my heating scenarios can be accommodated.I’m leaning toward building 1-2 solar thermal collectors, backed by a small “hail mary” electric heater.

I had one unit very similar which stopped working after one of remote sensors stopped transmitting. Could not get it working so found this one to replace. New one arrived and once reading the directions I figured out why old ones would not work. So now I have 2 systems, old and new, which work very well. In hind site I should have acquired a wifi enabled system. Next time.
