Nice tea, not sure about the postpartum support
Nice tea with a mild flavor. Easy to use and nice, clean organic ingredients. Haven’t noticed any calming effects or hormone balancing.A bit pricey for the amount you get.

Organic flavorful tea!
A nice herbal blend for a good cup of tea, with a hint of spice. The concept is definitely a sweet one, with consideration of moms during post delivery recovery and breastfeeding.I appreciate the wholesome commitment to keep it simple and organic. Moms go through a lot during pregnancy but post recovery is a whole new experience of bodily stress. This tea focuses on creating beneficial and relaxing drink, that I have enjoyed hot and cold! Both ways are flavorful, but not overpowering which I haven’t needed to add any honey. Im not in direct recovery as my kids are a little older but a mom’s work is never done. Even taking a moment to focus on self care is important, and for me a cup of hot coffee or tea sits me down for a second to just enjoy my cup! Steeps well, less than 5 minutes and you have a flavorful cup! With 14 satchels this can last you a few weeks depending on how often you drink tea. That’s more than the average 10 satchels that come in most organic brands at a fraction of the cost. Overall I really like this tea, as a valued staple in my tea drawer!

Nursing moms should check with health care providers. Lovely aroma and taste. Expensive.
I ordered OAT MAMA Postpartum Recovery Tea because I drink dandelion tea for other purposes, but it’s not especially palatable, so I thought I’d see if this tasted any better. It has a lovely spice aroma and taste – similar to chai, so maybe from the cinnamon – and it’ll be an enjoyable, albeit expensive, way for me to have my dandelion tea. However, I also work in health care and am experienced at analyzing medical literature and authoritative medical databases, including ones I trust to check benefits and harms of herbal medicines. My research using those sources indicated that there may be low to very low-quality evidence of possible benefits for new mothers from a couple components of this tea (Amazon reviewers are not allowed to specify what the specific benefits of a herbal product might be), but increased milk production in humans has not been shown by modern studies to be a proven benefit of any of the components. That would not necessarily be an issue if it were known that drinking this tea, especially in large (whatever that is) amounts for a long (whatever that is) time were safe for the babies of nursing moms, but some of these herbs with hormonal actions cross into breast milk. What I found scary was a single study that cinnamon given to nursing rats had endocrine effects on the baby rats that lasted into adulthood. If I were an expecting mom planning to nurse my baby, I would ask my health care provider (who might need help from a medical librarian) to find out what the potential pluses and minuses of this product are before purchasing it.Since becoming a Vine voice I have been trialing a number of things marketed as herbal teas and I feel that it’s important to emphasize:1) Supplements are completely unregulated by government and may not even contain what their labels say they do, so it has fallen to third-party consumer protection outfits to fill in the gaps. Amazon reviews are not allowed to give health advice or recommend specific websites, so all I can say is that you need to do your homework to understand what various “quality” labels on products mean and **don’t** mean. This is especially important when obtaining products from places known to have soils contaminated with industrial pollutants or naturally-occurring heavy metals.2) Even if properly labeled, exotic herbal products can have quite a lot of possible biologic actions. Unless the product is 100% something you’re pretty sure is benign (such as a well-known common spice), you should do a little research into the product, especially if you are older, have medical conditions or are on medications or other supplements. And even common spices and plants can aggravate underlying medical conditions and interact with medications if taken in large doses. Always tell your doctor about any herbal products and supplements you are taking.3) I discovered that even when I did my research at well-respected, authoritative sites, a review might still have been biased, touting only the positives of a supplement. A good review should list positives and negatives, whether there are known interactions with medications or other supplements, and conditions that make it potentially dangerous to take the supplement. You may need to read more than one review to get this information. After applying the results of my research into this product to my personal situation, I am OK with consuming it, but I am not a nursing mom.

Comfort in a Cup: A Gentle Blend of Flavor and Wellness
The OAT MAMA Spiced Pear Calming & Healing Tea is a soothing and thoughtfully crafted blend that feels like a hug in a mug. From the very first sip, the delicate pear flavor shines through, naturally sweet and mellow, perfectly balanced by a gentle medley of warming spices. It’s not overpowering but instead offers a subtle, layered taste that relaxes the senses and makes you want to slow down and savor. What makes this tea special is not just the flavor but the calming effect it brings. It’s designed with wellness in mind, and you can feel the difference—there’s a quieting of the mind and body that pairs beautifully with the comforting warmth of the cup. It’s caffeine-free, so it’s an excellent choice for evenings, winding down after a long day, or for moments when you simply want to nurture yourself. The quality is also impressive although a little on the pricey side. The tea feels fresh and aromatic right out of the package, with ingredients that clearly have been selected for both taste and therapeutic benefits. It steeps beautifully, releasing a fragrant aroma that’s as enjoyable as the flavor itself. Very effective so far.Overall, OAT MAMA’s Spiced Pear Calming & Healing Tea is more than just a drink—it’s an experience. It brings together flavor, aroma, and wellness in a way that feels nourishing on every level. If you’re looking for a tea that comforts both body and spirit, this is a wonderful choice.

Pleasant taste, nylon bags, a bit pricey
To start, I did not order this tea for postpartum benefits. I liked the advertised spiced pear flavor and quality ingredients. These tea bags came nicely packaged in a resealable bag. There are 14 bags total. Upon opening, you get a really nice, sweet and cinnamony scent. Unfortunately, the bags are nylon, which release microplastics when heated. I chose to cut the bag and transfer to a stainless strainer. After adding hot water, you can see the color immediately change to a nice amber color. It has a light fruit and cinnamon aroma. The flavor is very pleasant and soothing; the pear and cinnamon pair well together and the flavor becomes bolder the longer you steep.Overall, it’s a nice blend of ingredients with health benefits. It’s a bit pricey at the current $17.99 ($14.39 w/coupon).
