Description

More protection, less worry. New moms deserve better care for C-section recovery. Our Soothies C-section Recovery Pads protect your incision after stitches come out, when the wound is closed but still healing. Perfect for those early days postpartum, you can start using our pads about a week after birth, unlike a scar cream which can’t be used until the wound is fully healed (about 6 weeks after birth). Our disposable C-Section pads include gel padding to minimize friction and rubbing as you move, plus provide cooling, soothing relief for your tender, itchy, healing skin. Suitable for sensitive skin, the sterilized pads are designed to stay comfortably in place all day, with a gentle adhesive border to keep the pad in place, even in the shower! Includes 4 single-use, medical-grade pads. Wear each pad for up to 72 hours. A postpartum essential for C-section moms. For nearly 40 years, new mothers have trusted Lansinoh to support and care for them while they enter the messy magic of motherhood. Our journey started with award winning, doctor recommended HPA Lanolin Nipple Cream: today, we offer a comprehensive collection of solutions to help new parents navigate pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, and pumping. Our product range includes organic nipple balm, disposable nursing pads, washable nursing pads, breastmilk storage bags, manual breast pumps and double electric breast pumps, postpartum essentials, baby bottles, and more. C-section must have
This was great to have for after my csection. I was wearing an abdominal binder for a few weeks post op and this was much better than the dressing from the hospital. It protected the site and kept it clean and dry to facilitate healing. It’s waterproof & stays on 72 hrs at a time which meant less fussing on my dressing post shower. It’s thin enough on the edges to be comfortable but with a thick enough portion on the actual incision site to provide protection. If you like to wear jeans, this will be great. Removal was easy and painless, it doesn’t stick to hair so you don’t have to worry about accidentally waxing yourself especially in “sensitive areas“. I’m assuming this would also work for other surgical sites, as well. Not sure if it will minimize scarring as I’ve only used it for about a week so far. Wish there were more in the box.

    Great
I bought these for my sister after her second c-section and they worked very well! Make sure not to use them until your doctor says its okay because they are not meant for use directly after your procedure.

    Feeling cool and protected
First time C-section Momma here! These pads were so calming to me. I got my stitches out but still was so nervous about anything rubbing against the area and it was still very sore to the touch. The pads gave me relief from that. I put them in the fridge to cool and after applying to my incision site, they held a nice soothing temp for a good 20mins. Once it was time to remove them they came off with ease leaving no sticky residue. I’d definitely use these again!

    Great
Received these for free. I also bought the Frida mom silicon patches but haven’t tried them yet so I can’t compare. I thought it was a daily thing and tried to remove it the next day when I went to shower. You can wear for a while though, like over two weeks. I removed mine after a couple of days because I wanted to see how it was going. I had dissolvable stitches and an excellent surgeon, so no issues with my incision prior to using the silicon adhesive. I waiting until my 2 week post op and asked my doctor for the okay to use these. My scar was visually softer and it felt better after just one use. Very happy!

Okay but Would Stick to Homemade Icepacks
These were okay. I found them hard to take off without feeling pain. They were a bit small for the size of my scar. The cooling effect they had on the area that they did cover did bring a lot of relief until it was time to take them off. I have had three c-sections and I found that using homemade ice packs on my scar gave almost the same cooling effect but without the pain of peeling them off. This is something that is difficult to rate because everyone’s body is different and that includes their scars and recoveries.

    Never Again🤦🏼‍♀️
I had a c section 3 weeks ago. I purchased these patches abt two weeks ago and abt a week and a half ago they came in. I used one patch and it worked very well that day and the day after. Definitely felt relief and the cooling sensation rly worked. Taking the patches off was SOOOOO BAD I thought I was going to be seeing stars. Totally pulled at my skin so bad it felt like someone was ripping my skin off!!! On top of that, they caused me incision to become super red, super irritated, and burn like no tomorrow!! My doctor put me on antibiotics and i’ve been doing better since but this all happened after taking off these patches. Don’t do it to yourselves ladies, just use soap and water to clean wound daily and let the wound breathe. Not worth the risk, trust me!!
