Dubious and Entertaining Fun – Even For Adults.
We bought this game to take on our annual family vacation. Seven grown up couples ages 24 – 57 had a great time playing this game. Basically, there are question cards with weird answers that sound preposterous. The person asking the question holds the question card up in front of them while they read it and everyone else playing can see the answer on the back. Everyone in the game except for the person reading the question has drawn a fish which look the same on the back and are all one color on the front EXCEPT for one fish card face is blue – the person that draws blue fish card (you don’t let anyone see which fish face you have) has to give the answer written on the back of the card which is the truth or real answer and everyone else has to make up an answer that sounds true or one that sounds as crazy as the real answer. It took us a couple rounds to get the hang of it and the game became more entertaining as we went along. We played for a couple of hours. We started with four of us playing and were having so much fun people kept joining in until we couldn’t fit anyone else into the game – then we just doubled up and played as couples. Super entertaining and once you really get the hang of it you can strategize to help keep the person from guessing which one of you is telling the truth. The person reading the question listens to everyone’s answers then picks the fish up in front of each player they think is lying one at a time then the person with the blue fish that’s saying the real or correct answer last. There are point coins you win for picking the liars out – and you can lose those if you pick the blue fish person as a liar and you can win point coins if you have a blue fish and are telling the truth but get accused of being a liar or if you are still holding your fish during the round after the blue fish was picked. There are variations to the game for winning and losing point coins. Even the people in our family who don’t normally like to play games with us ended up hanging out then wanted into the game. The game was definitely worth the money. There are two packs of question cards that are double sided – two questions and two answers per card and the fish cards are made from a type of nice thick cardboard but are bendable – which did happen to the ONLY blue fish so we ended up bending them all in the same spot so you couldn’t tell which one was the blue fish. You can play several rounds pretty quickly and stop the game when you run out of money or whenever you feel like it. People can quit or take a break during a game and it doesn’t affect the game and they can join back in without affecting anyone so it’s super flexible. The game box is small enough it’s easy to pack and it will be one that I take every year from here on out. Hopefully by the time we get through all the questions the card company will have extra sets of new game cards. I think this game is best suited for middle school and up not really for grade school kids.

Fun, easy icebreaker game for teens, families, youth groups
Bought this for a teen’s 18th birthday party. Everyone loved it. We played with 10 people and it was quick to learn, fun for everyone, and a good icebreaker game. It probably lasts for about 10-12 rounds before getting a little old. The questions were all very different and some hilariously bizarre. We had a great time and look forward to playing again. It’s a good game to play with non-gamers and to mix generations as well. You could team up if you had a group larger than 10. Highly recommend for families, teens, youth groups, family reunions, holiday gatherings, etc.

    This Game had us Laughing!
This game had us laughing so hard. It was easy to learn and play with a variety of ages, although you do need to be able to read. The box is small enough that we can easily take it with us. Would recommend this for people who love creative, fun word games!

Laugh-Out-Loud Bluffing Fun for Game Night!
My family can’t stop playing Sounds Fishy—it’s a brilliant mix of bluffing, trivia, and creativity. Each round: one player knows the correct answer, others make up believable lies, and the guesser has to sniff out the truth. The mechanic is reminiscent of Balderdash but faster and more giggly. We played with players aged 10 to 50, and everyone chimed in: easy to learn, hilarious to play. The cards prompt bizarre, funny questions, and coming up with clever lies is half the

    Fun game!
This is a fun game you can play with a larger number of people! The rules are pretty easy. We played it at our family reunion and I thought it was so fun, so I bought me one.
