The Best Self Journal has been my go-to daily planner for years – primarily using it for work, it also has also encouraged me to think forward about my own personal development and goals. When I re-ordered for a fresh new journal, I didn’t even realize the changes they had made to the pages in addition to the bold new colors. WOW! Bucket lists, personal benchmarks, and a whole new way to track my tactics is awesome. This planner covers 13 weeks vs 3 months, so you can start any time – no excuses! Great for goal setting/Tracking and Reflective Journaling.
I’ve been using this journal for over a year now. I really like the combination of both a planner, gratitude section, and space for journaling. The 13 week goal setting helps me focus on what is important to me and gives me a way to track my habits, and measure my progress, and identify the areas I need to work on.

Great but Quality Control Issues
I have found these veru helpful for several years and the book itself is very well made BUT the black elastic strap is very stretched out and flaps around instead of staying close to the notebook and the promised back pocket doesn’t exist and there is no daily ritual cards in the box as promised. Makes me wonder about continuing to buy these if no one is checking to be sure that all is as it should be.

I’m a goal journal/planner addict and for years have been searching for the perfect planner. And honestly, The BestSelf company shows time and again that is is well…the best! I like the way their planner is organized so that if you miss a day, you haven’t wasted empty pages that you paid for. It’s been the highest quality and value for money out of all I’ve tried. It’s been the easiest to use, but also the most fun and I find that I when I’m trying other journals, I’m less motivated to use them and find my self skipping days. Not with this one. I LOVE filling it out and see so much progress on developing day to day habits that help me reach my goals. Each planner comes with a little booklet that takes you step by step through developing a long term goal (13 weeks), then. Critical milestones that will help you gauge your progress, and day to day habits or tasks to make daily progress toward your big goal. It’s helped me create much better goals that get me more excited than the “I am going to lose weight or exercise more”. Goals your passionate about like “In the next 13 weeks I am going to increase my energy levels and physical strength and stamina so I can get on the floor and play with my grandkids”. They help you both in the booklet, the planner, and their AMAZING website that is full of blogs, articles, and information available to anyone to gain more help and more motivation. Honestly, after years of trying different things to help me improve my habits, my health, and more, I feel extremely confident that the BestSelf company is the way to go.

Genuinely life changing
I can’t say enough good things about the BestSelf Journal. There are obvious great things about the journals – they’re attractive, the right size to fit into a handbag, the pages are big enough to fit everything about a busy day, and there are gratitude prompts where you can jot down things you are grateful for in the morning and the evening. However the way that the pages are set up with Goals, Targets, and Lessons Learned, are what set this journal apart for me. Somehow, being forced to be really clear on my goal for the day, and the targets that will make that day a Win, has really helped me to focus and plan my day more effectively. The result is, my day is mapped out minute-by-minute, mindfully and with intention, and I stick to it. I am a working mom and this means that when my calendar says “Work,” I am 100% focused on my work-related targets. I don’t get sucked into emails from my kids’ school, I don’t start a load of laundry, I WORK. But when the calendar says “Kid Time,” my work phone is put away, my laptop is shut, and I am 100% about quality time with my kids. I have no guilt that I should be doing something else, because I know that there is time in my day for me to hit my Targets, so long as I stick to the plan! Overall this is a fabulous product and it has truly changed the way I work, the way I parent, and the way I live.

Years later and I can’t live without these
I feel that these planners are what I’ve been looking for my entire adult life. As a psychologist I appreciate the evidence-based tools for motivation and work/life balance that are seamlessly implemented into the system. The minimalist design allows me to easily write over anything I need to change, such as re-writing the hours on the margin of the page if I sleep in or need to work late. Writing out my daily priorities has changed my mindset and workflow. Also I now have a record of all the time I’ve spent working since I first started getting these planners. This is handy for billing clients, tracking time spent on projects, and also just personal reasons since it’s a very consistent diary of sorts as well. Every inch of every page is useful. I honestly can’t think of any ways I’d improve this system.I can’t recommend these highly enough for how much I appreciate them in my every day life. I just ordered this four volume set for about $100 which I was pleased to see includes the “graduate” edition of the planners that I was sad to not find last time around. This means the front material explaining how to use the journals has been removed. The four-volume set contains a separate packet with that information.I am tempted to buy 10 of these multi-sets so I am set for 10 years.
