    Fun family game
This game is great to play with the family or just two people (we actually like it best with just 2 players). The whole game takes about 30 minutes, whether playing with 2 or 4 people, and it’s so easy to learn. There are some mini expansions/extra rules included to make the game slightly longer or more complex, but our kids like to play just the basic rules for a fast, not too complicated game. Also love that there is no set up and easy clean up. The pieces look nice and seem very nice quality. We buy and try out a LOT of games, most don’t get played more than a few times, but this one became an instant favorite.

    Build and score! Great fun!
Beautiful, simple to learn, and strategic. Tile building, meeple placement, and multiple ways to score make this interesting every time we play. I recommend the expansion 1 and I’m guessing other expansions are good as well. It’s a ight intro to euro games.

    Great for couples
Excellent tile placement game! We prefer playing at two players, but can be played up to four. Easy to learn and relaxing to play (it can be more competitive if you enjoy a more spirited style). We love playing it on weekend mornings after breakfast while drinking coffee.

My Favorite Strategy Game for 2-5 Players. 30-45 Minutes To Play, Nice Mix of Fun and Focused Strategy
This game is well made and great fun. The rules are clear and I like that they start off with a simple set of tiles and rules, then allow you to add more tiles and rules with the included mini-expansions. I would go so far as to say that for me personally, this is my favorite board game. I prefer it to Settlers, Scrabble, Monopoly, Risk etc. The game play is simple to teach but strategic so you can continue to replay it and enjoy the game. This Game Includes Tiles, a Scoreboard and Playing Pieces (“Meeples”). It includes a couple mini-expansions of “The River” and “The Abbot”I highly recommend using The River from the second or third time you play. It adds some nice tiles to begin with, and by building out in a more or less straight line allows you to build a much more open board for players to build off of once the “real” game starts. The only reason I suggest using the regular tiles first is just to get a feel of how different and more open it is with The RiverWe play with The Abbot as well and that adds another level of strategy.I find that playing two players is a bit of an intense game because every turn you know that whatever you play you are setting the table for the next player. It is fun and about half the games I played have been 2 player games. The scoreboard and “looping” around the board can be a bit of a problem with 2 players but not a big deal.We are going to try the house rule of holding 3 tiles and see if that adds to the strategy, but it is a lot of fun with the rules as-is.I have since purchased Carcassonne 1 – Inns and Cathedrals and Carcassonne 2 – Traders and Builders (2015), but I’ve only used I&C once. Honestly the base game + The River + Abbot is great fun by itself and I’m not sure for most people I would recommend anything past that unless you have a regular group of gamers you play with.Base Game + River (and not playing with farmers) is easy enough to teach people as they are playing the game and since each tile is flipped one at a time and there is nothing “hidden” in your hand it’s easy to play and walk through the turns together.

    Fun for all ages
Carcassonne is a fantastic board game that combines strategy, creativity, and a bit of luck! The tile-placement mechanic is simple to learn yet offers deep gameplay, making it suitable for both beginners and seasoned players. Each game feels unique as you build the landscape, complete cities, and claim fields. The expansion being included with the base game makes it even more fun if you’re bored of the standard gameplay or you just want to add a little more challenege.

    Quick and Easy
Quick setup, and fun, thought provoking gameplay.

great game, pay attention to the first unboxing
The game is great, now a classic. It includes the River (new version) and the Abbot mini-expansions. The only problem is that the paper is a bit delicate the first time you remove the tiles. It’s enjoyable as it is, but it can be improved by adding one or two expansions. I suggest Inns and Cathedrals because it adds only a few rules, but more tiles and an extra player.

    Carcassonne
We had a lot of fun playing this game. Its fast paced but you can streach it out if you want it to last longer. It arrived in good condition.

Having got back into board games this year, years after last being into them when our son was young, we’ve been buying some of the classics that have come about since then. This one is popular and routinely highly recommended.  It’s a game based around laying tiles to build a continuous connecting landscape and playing your “meeple” playing pieces to claim terrain features and score points. This comes in a nicely designed box with very solid components, made of of cardboard tiles and wooden “meeple” and feels like real quality.   It feels like very good value for money. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, with good examples to get you started.  We found ourselves getting out heads around it very quickly. It’s a very enjoyable game, engaging yet very relaxing.  The design is clever, simple yet with a decent amount of complexity within. This has become one of our most popular games, played between myself and my wife and with friends.  We love it, this is one I’d recommend to anybody looking to collect modern classic board games.

Carcasonne is a fun game the whole family will enjoy, a good purchase.

Great simple game. This game is super easy to learn, if you hate reading instructions this one is great. Game can be played on different levels to make it more complicated if you like. All levels are fun. Easy to learn, good for any age, still has strategy involved so it’s fun to play. I’ve played with a bunch of different friends and they all like it.

Un clásico que sigue siendo grande, recomendado, fácil de aprender y con mucha rejugabilidad, si lo estás pensando, no lo dudes, recomendado!
