  1. Tieraona Low Dog

    Good resource
This is a very good review of the evidence for the use of essential oils for addressing the mental wellbeing of women. As an integrative physician, I always hear that there is “no evidence” that herbs/EO have any real benefit. This type of resource gives women and clinicians greater confidence in how to use these natural products to improve their health and quality of life. Well done.

  2. Dean E Kristiniak

Providing evidence based practice to the science and art of aromatherapy
Pam Conrad’s newest book aligns the safe practice of aromatherapy to the care planning for mental health and women’s issues. By including evidence generated in published research and her expertise in the field of aromatherapy, this book adds to the strongly needed accurate and quality driven practice of aromatherapy.

This is the reference book I’ve needed for my aromatherapy practice
Author and clinical aromatherapist Pam Conrad has give the aromatherapy world a concise, well-organized reference book that highlights important clinical studies on the impact of essential oils for the mental health issues faced by women. She has organized the material by easy to reference chapters and sections, including handy charts that match the essential oils with the condition they affect. This book has been a Godsend for my evidence-based aromatherapy practice. In my work with mental health therapists in support of their clients, and with my own clients who are dealing with mental health issues as a result of PMS, menopause, and postpartum depression, I now can quickly identify an essential oil proven to alleviate a particular symptom or group of symptoms. Ms. Conrad cites each study, too, so the practitioner can read in more detail about the study and its findings. I’ve applied what I learned from this book with wonderful outcomes for several clients already. This book is now part of the collection I keep on my desk for quick reference, along with books by Battaglia, Tisserand, Rose, and Davis.

    Mediocre
Too much about the author and lots of obvious well known information. In my opinion it’s way overpriced for the little value it provides. I wouldn’t recommend theirs book, unless the reader is a complete novice in the subject.
