Updating to five stars, great product
Now that I’ve had a better reason to use this, I’m impressed. I also found out that using honey for medicinal/wound care, it should be gritty. This had me confused before but now I appreciate it. I’ve been getting so much relief from this for a perianal abscess with fistula. Previously the only thing helping the infection (because oral antibiotics from the doc didn’t touch the area) was wild oregano oil. But that wasn’t helping to actually close the track. This soothing honey (meluka, with bees incorporating the flowers from the Australian Melaleuca, or tea tree, as opposed to Manuka flowers from NZ) has not only been helping with the infection, but also helping to shrink the abscess and close the track. It’s not all the way closed yet, but after using this for 2 weeks it’s absolutely helping. I’ve only barely scratched the surface of the jar too so it lasts if you’re not using it on a huge area. Fortunately the inside opening of the track is low enough that I can reach it with my fingers. This honey salve “burns so good” just a little sting so I can feel that it’s working on the wound, and keeps it from drying out while it’s healing. Manuka has been officially studied more for wound care, but maybe Meluka with the antiseptic tea tree is the dark horse. I can’t find the studies to back that up just yet but maybe TPTB are misdirecting us. Far from the first time if so, right?! Anyway, this stuff is fantastic for anyone looking for a natural way to help soothe and heal a sensitive area. Or anywhere! So glad I had it on hand.Original review:I used it on my face for a sunburn. It did seem to soothe it, but left behind an exfoliant-salt-grit type trail all over my face. It wasn’t what I was expecting, texture-wise, especially as a perineal and newborn product. Will try again when I need it for something and see if I just needed to use more? It didn’t spread well and I didn’t want to grab extra when I saw the pills of sand all over my face.

My first aid emergency ointment
I am a very holistic person and this is one of the best products I’ve ever used for cuts. Not only it healed me in 2 days but also it took the pain away! I am currently still using it for the scars and so far is working great. This is my new go to first aid emergency ointment. It’s magic!

Miracle Remedy! Unbelievable Results.
Absolutely loved this product! I used it postpartum on stitches. I was hesitant at first if it would be sticky- but it wasn’t at all. It was pain-relieving, sped-up my healing, and super pampering and soothing. I tried many products after my first labor- nothing compared to this one. I also used it on a stubborn, infected ingrown nail and within one day the infection was gone! Will recommend this to all my mom friends!

be careful opening, it might spill
well my whole house smells of this ointment and it is still so sticky on my desk. You see, when I was opening I got distracted and spilled more than half of it on my desk and hand. So, not to waste it I spread it on my arms and legs and wow just wow it feels so good but is sticky but quickly sinks into my skin. This is an effective, multi-purpose with exceptional results in postpartum, cuts, scrapes, and use on your face if you want. I can tell you this, my skin feels much softer today and I wasn’t aware of a scratch from my dog and it looks great today, should be gone in a day or so. I LOVE THE FRAGRANCE. This is a really nice alternative balm. Glad I got it and you will be too.

Soothing, Calming, and Multi Use
I’m so happy with this product, I’ve been using it on my baby’s scratches and am impressed with how much quicker they’ve healed. I also love the smell and have dabbed a little bit of it on myself before baby’s bedtime for calming. I’m sure I will find many more uses for this too.

Heals burns
My friend recommended this for a big hand burn from the oven because I like to use products with natural ingredients and this WORKS! I can see many uses for it at home, but it smells so good I wanted to take a spoon and put it in my mouth…

So unpleasant
I hate to write a poor review when something appears to be made with effort by a small business, but I wasn’t expecting this to be so unpleasant. First, the jar was in a bubble bag and included 3 disposable wooden spatulas, but the lid was broken and not sealed. It smells bad. Lavender, yes, but also something like vapor rub and nether regions. It looks like dark honey. The texture is odd. It reminded me of melted caramel at first. Gently touching it, it almost bounced back and didn’t stick to my finger. Digging in a bit more, it did stick. When applied, it was like two two incompatible substances – water and syrup, wet and sticky. When I rubbed my skin, it both slipped and stuck in places. It even looked like sticky candy and water on my skin. It may work, but it’s not worth the smell, feel, and appearance to me when there are other options. It’s currently $36 plus an extra 10% off.
