Best tasting brand of Earl Grey tea
Who makes the absolutely best Earl Grey tea on the market? Tazo does!I have tried most every other brand of Earl Grey tea on the market – in various hotels and restaurants around the world, and honestly the Tazo brand is the best and the one I always return to. It’s an excellent and consistent blend with bergamot essence that finishes the tea very well.

I’ve been drinking Tazo Earl Grey Tea every morning since for the last 26 years. That’s since 1998, just four years after Tazo Tea was founded. Except for a few years in there, when I drank Tazo Full Leaf Earl Grey Tea, until they discontinued it. Then I went back to my trusty old standby: Tazo Earl Grey teabags.The consistent quality over all those years is frankly AMAZING. I’ve never had a “bad batch” of Tazo Earl Grey. And I must have consumed… Over 14,000 bags of tea (assuming 1.5 cups per day, because I drink 1-3 cups depending on my caffeine intake at the time).Maybe I’m biased, but I’ve tried a lot of other brands of earl grey tea over the years and nothing comes close! No other brand has the pleasant tea that’s not too bitter combined with the STRONG bergamot like Tazo. Other brands use bitter tea, and don’t put enough bergamot in it. Or they add something gross, like lavender. Lavender flowers are pretty and they smell nice, but they do not belong in Earl Grey tea!Having a cup of Tazo Earl Grey tea really makes my morning. If I don’t have a nice steaming cup of the fragrant beverage, I’ll feel peeved and out of sorts. I’ll try to replace it with other teas – at this point I usually just go with black tea, since other brands take on Earl Grey is universally disappointing. But it’s never quite the same.I’ve tried the organic variety from this same brand, and I don’t like it as much. I don’t know why, but the quality is not as consistent, and the bergamot is not as strong. It’s a little weak compared to this tea.I hope they never change it. Tazo Earl Grey forever!
