Fun Game for Large Groups
This is a pretty straightforward game. One player gets the golden microphone and is the lead singer; their backup singer gets the silver microphone. The lead singer draws a card and thinks of a song that contains the word on the card (or a variation of it) and sings a line from the song, in hopes that their backup singer knows the next line to finish the song. The lead singer and backup singer are given star tokens or muted for the next round, depending on whether or not they were able to think of lyrics/know the song. The game is pretty fun (best if you have a group where everyone’s comfortable being loud/singing in front of the group) but some of the rules were a bit unclear. Would have liked some variation in the cards as well, they all just have one word.We ended up just having the lead singer take their turn, while everyone scrambles for the microphone to complete the verse if they knew the song. It was easier than picking teams, and a bit more fun. The game can be kid friendly or for adults, depending on the songs players decide to sing. From what I saw, the words on the cards are all pretty tame. Overall, very fun for large groups and family game nights!

As a family of singers, games that include music are super fun for us. This game is fun for ages 11 and up. For about 20 dollars, you and your family can live in your own musical. I think it’s more fun than the other games on the market that only have one microphone, because it allows people to continue the song, and it adds an extra dimension to the game, and it’s more fun to see if other people are on the same wavelength. The microphones are quality enough that they hold up to a lot of aggressive grabbing and a little tugging, and the game is a great size; it’s small enough to store easily or be played on a smaller surface so it’s great for dorms or classrooms.
