You will need something to cover the numbers
A trip down memory lane – my Nan (Grandma) had this game when we were kids and I used to love playing it with her! It is identical. All the barrels are there 1-90. Some are marked so you can see if it is a ‘9’ or a ‘6’, but not all of them. I used a sharpie to mark the ones I thought were ambiguous, especially if you or kids forget it stops at 90.A couple of the barrels are split, but its not a big deal.I realized that there are no discs to cover the numbers when they are called and there is no caller number sheet. I think I will try and find some tiddlywinks to use or maybe cut out some cardboard squares so that it can be played and reused. Would have been nice if these things were included.

Kids Educational Tool – Russian “BINGO” Variation (Lotto)
We play a lot of games with friends & family (US location) and when I saw this listing of “Russian Bingo” it definitely piqued my interest…. What is Russian BINGO? I’m glad you asked! I have discovered it’s a variation of our English BINGO, but only the numbers’ part, with basic scoring done across rows (as compared to columns). My assumption is the simplicity of the game would not necessarily be of interest to most adults but could be an interesting family resource for children learning 2-digit numbers, as well as giving insight to an alternative culture’s amusement. This set comes in a plastic fold-over sleeve (not boxed) with nice quality double-side wooden discs indicating the numbers to call (they are surprisingly thick), plus 48 player cards. Unfortunately, the cards themselves do not lay flat; the ones I received are curled. However, with 48 cards, there’s a reasonable number so as to have different “plays” each round. The biggest challenge with this set is it’s missing instructions, which is an unfortunate omission for those who have not grown up playing Russian Lotto (apparently the correct term). I had to spend some time web surfing to find out how to play. In addition, as in English “BINGO”, one covers up “called numbers” on their playing card, but this set does not include any pieces to do so (in the version I found online, players covered “called number” with little squares of paper – perhaps that’s tradition?) Net, I gave it a rating of 3 due to its educational interest for English speakers and the potential as an educational tool, but if valuing solely on its playability out of the box it should be rated far lower as it is not immediately playable by the average English speaker.
