Unlocking a Lifetime of Stories… At Your Own Pace
I have been wanting to interview my parents and put together a book of their stories, but coming up with topics has been so difficult. I have seen other programs out there to assist with this, but they are very pricey. This set of 150 conversation cards is absolutely perfect! It allows me to ask the questions The questions are a fantastic mix of chronological and reflective prompts, divided into three eras of life: Early Life, Mid Life, and Later Life & Reflection. The cards make it so easy to get a conversation started and dive into meaningful topics. While not every card is appropriate for every situation, the majority of the cards have great conversation starters. I’ve only had the chance to use a few so far, but it’s going very well, and I hope to have enough material for a book in a few months. This is a wonderful way to connect with family, share stories, and create a lasting memory.**As an Amazon Vine member, I personally select products to review. I tend to choose items that align with my interests and needs, which often leads to positive 4- and 5-star ratings. However, if a product does not meet my expectations, I will always provide an honest and transparent assessment of its performance. All opinions expressed in my reviews are my own, and on occasion, I may include feedback from my family to offer a more comprehensive perspective.

This Isn’t a Game, It’s a Time Machine and a Therapy Session All Rolled into One
Honestly, where has this game been all my life? I’ve played countless family games that end with someone flipping the board or arguing over who “misinterpreted” a rule. The Life Story Interview Kit is the polar opposite. It’s not just a game; it’s a hidden treasure that unlocks your family’s history in the most hilarious and heartfelt way possible. My wife and I, along with our family, just had the most incredible night with this thing. I laughed so hard my sides hurt, and I’m pretty sure my mom cried (the good kind of cry, though!).The questions are brilliant. They’re not your typical “What’s your favorite color?” fluff. They dig deep, but in a totally non-threatening, conversational way. We learned things we never knew, like the time my dad tried to sell a neighbor’s lawnmower to buy a Cabbage Patch Kid for his secret girlfriend back in high school. The shock and laughter that erupted around the table was priceless. My teenage nephew, who usually communicates in grunts and emoji, actually put down his phone and told a story about his most embarrassing moment from summer camp. It was a genuine, beautiful moment, and it completely changed the dynamic of our usual “so… what’s new?” family dinner. It’s the perfect gift for anyone you love—or even just like a little bit. It’s a unique and fun way to connect across generations. Instead of the same old tired conversations about work or school, you get to travel through time together. You’ll hear the stories behind the family photos, understand the quirky traditions, and maybe, just maybe, finally get to the bottom of who really broke that antique vase back in ’88. This game is a gold mine of memories, and I can’t recommend it enough. Get ready to laugh, learn, and love your family a little bit more.

Quality control issues and the strangest packaging; good questions though
If this was a game that I’d play 1,000 times, I’d be less forgiving. But since this is for posterity, and will be used maybe 3 times in my life, the face that a couple dozen cards didn’t print great is less of an issue. The questions themselves are great and plentiful. This was exactly what I was looking for to fulfill my mother’s request to get interview her about her life before she dies (not that she’s close; but do it too close and she might not remember anything). The box confused me when it arrived; it took me a solid minute to realize what it was. The brand should be hidden and the name of the product should be all over in larger print. The illustrations are strange. Still worth it if you’re looking for family history interview questions . . . or speed dating for seniors. 😛
